All business owners, homeowners, and renters will experience a clogged sink or toilet sewer line at some point.

  • Downspout lines get clogged by leaves that don’t clear the line to the open sewer.
  • Sewer lines get clogged by excess toilet paper and objects not meant to be disposed of in a toilet. They also get clogged from sinks and laundry machines by soap scum, cooking grease, and even human hair. Old sewer lines develop cracks, into which plant roots can grow and cause backups.
  • Each of these scenarios can also cause worse issues than a clogged drain when left unattended for too long.

Benefits of Hydro Jetting

Hydro jets are designed with a nozzle that is connected to an extremely long hose and high-pressure water pump. After carefully inserting the nozzle and hose into a backed-up line upstream of the clog, an experienced plumber then uses the highly pressurized water to safely dislodge, or pulverize and then dislodge, the material blocking the line. This way, the material moves all the way through, and the water flows as expected. The water pressure can reach up to 4000 pounds per square inch which is usually enough to destroy even tree roots. In some situations, a plumber might start with rodding or cabling to loosen the material and then use hydro jetting to finish the job.
